Science Oxford Maker Club Juniors – One Planet Living
This month, and to celebrate Oxford’s Green week, our young makers will be creating beautiful bird feeders from items that would normally be discarded. They’ll learn how to work to a design brief to create a feeder that is safe, sustainable and stylish. And there’s no point having a bird feeder without any food so we’ll also be making a nutritionally-balanced edible garland to go with it.
There’s no avoiding the fact that we throw away a lot of rubbish that could be reused or recycled. The good news is that we’re becoming more aware of the environmental damage caused by our ‘disposable’ culture, and children are at the heart of the campaign for One Planet Living.
