Inspiring Local Action to Tackle the Climate Emergency

FREE and open to all (students and wider public)

Talk, workshop and Q&A with Alison Grunewald from the Low Carbon Hub

How has one Oxford social enterprise raised £6.6 million from local individuals to tackle the climate emergency? Come to hear Alison Grunewald talk about the amazing work of the Low Carbon Hub, followed by an interactive workshop (on the subject of what role your college and student body can play) and ending with a Q&A. The whole event will last an hour – from 7pm to 8pm- but please arrive at 6.45pm to ensure a prompt start. All welcome (not just students)!

Alison Grunewald is the Business Relationship Manager at the Low Carbon Hub. The Low Carbon Hub is a social enterprise that’s out to prove we can meet our energy needs in a way that’s good for people and good for the planet. The Oxford enterprise works with communities, schools and businesses to provide the finance, knowledge and technical management to scale-up renewable energy and put green power and knowledge in the hands of the people. The Low Carbon Hub won the Ashden Award for Sustainable Communities in 2016 and its projects save 1562 tonnes of CO2 every year!
