BBOWT Guided Walk at Meadow Farm

Guided Walk Katie Ewers

Join us for a guided stroll through the tapestry of flowers and grasses, and discover what makes Meadow Farm so special. These hay meadows with ancient ridge-and-furrows are a remnant of old farming methods; abundant in wild flowers, insects and birds once taken for granted. This guided walk is an opportunity to feast your senses on the changing flowers and grasses, and find out how this rare habitat is cared for. It covers under 1 mile and will be led by a member of site staff. BOOKING ESSENTIAL

Walk duration / terrain
We will be out in the meadows for this event, which are uneven ground. The walk is approximately 2 hours at a moderate pace, with several stops on a route under 1 mile. The meadow paths are, unfortunately, not suitable for mobility scooters or wheelchairs.

Footwear and clothing
We advise bringing wellies if we’ve had some rain, sturdy boots otherwise. Parts of the site are quite exposed, so please bring suitable windproof / weatherproof coats, jackets, or sun hat as required.

Hot drinks and biscuits will be available at the end of the event; please bring your own water with you if it is a particularly hot day

There are no toilets out on site, but toilet facilities are available nearby in the building.
