Wind Over Westmill – 10 years of community wind

On Saturday 16th June Westmill Farm celebrates 10 years of power production from Oxfordshire’s only wind farm with a family fun day with food, live music, giant kites and an opportunity to get inside one of the 81m high wind turbines. Entry and activities will be free.

Cycle rides to the site are being organised from Oxford and further afield. A free bus will run from and back to Oxford. At 2pm everyone attending will be invited to form a giant ‘people turbine’ which will be photographed from the air.

Westmill Wind and Solar Farm is a unique community-owned business is the only place in southern England where visitors can see both wind and solar power in the same place and in beautiful surroundings. There will be guided tours of both throughout the day.
