Tour of Viridor Ardley Energy Recovery Facility – with FREE bus transport from Wood Farm, Barton and Marston

Take a trip to Viridor’s Energy Recovery Facility at Ardley and learn all about sustainable waste management and how energy recovery fits into the waste hierarchy.

You will be taken on a guided tour of the site with an education officer from Viridor and one of Oxford City Council’s Recycling Officers.  Visit the state-of-the-art visitor centre and find out what happens to your rubbish after it gets collected from Oxford!

Places are limited so booking is essential – please email  recyclingleague@oxford.gov.uk to request a place.

Please note that visitors must be over 8 years old for health and safety reasons.

Free transport to Ardley will be provided by Oxford Bus Company – we are very grateful for their support in making this event as accessible as possible to all residents.

Pick-ups for the morning tour:

0900: Wood Farm (Masons Rd) – drop off after the tour around 12.40pm

0910: Barton (Underhill Circus) – drop off after the tour around 12.50pm

0920: Marston (Marsh Lane, Horseman Close stop northbound) – drop off after the tour around 13.00pm
