Tandem Festival is a 3 day music festival bringing you different worlds of music, art, talks, workshops, film, dance, food and eco-friendliness. We’re back for our fourth edition from 22nd -24th June at the beautiful Lower Farm in Oxfordshire. Cycle powered, volunteer fuelled and community led, Tandem Festival celebrates culture, fosters cooperation and inspires change. We want to show that what’s good for your ears, eyes and dancing shoes can be good for the planet too!
Come along to share in a 3 day adventure of dance, storytelling, crafts, workshops to introduce you to everything from yoga to food waste to feminism for dads, and spaces to be creative for all ages. And of course music for everyone, from funk to solo Bach, swinging ceilidhs to late night DJs, and musicians from around the globe sharing the sounds of their cultures.
Our acoustic performance spaces, from barns to yurts, will bring you closer to the music, enabling the rediscovery of sound without large amplification. We encourage bands to turn off their amps & explore what they can do without them: expect to catch unique & intimate performances. By night, our outdoor main stage comes to life. This amplified space brings the whole festival together for en-masse music & dance!
Eco-friendliness and inclusivity are at the heart of our festival. We work community groups, artists and researchers to engage audiences with environmental and social issues. We incentivise low-carbon transport to the festival, avoid non-recyclable waste and generators, upcycle everything we can and only serve veggie/vegan ethically and locally sourced food. The site is step-free and family-friendly with unisex and accessible toilets.
