SHEDOXFORD Open Day at The Abbey Sutton Courtenay

You are warmly invited to the very first SHEDOXFORD Open Day in the beautiful grounds of The Abbey Sutton Courtenay where on Wednesday 20th June from midday till 6pm SHEDOXFORD will be showcasing their new facility.

Since starting at the Abbey in August 2017, SHEDOXFORD has made great strides in establishing a wonderful new Community Recycling Workshop. A hardy band of pioneers have transformed the old Tractor Shed, insulating and illuminating it with donated and free-cycled materials and installing a wood-burning stove to make the Shed a cosy place to be in all weathers.

We’re now looking for NEW members – young and old, skilled and unskilled – to learn, practice and share skills and knowledge in wood and metalwork. Come and get creative with materials and resources diverted from landfill, upcycling and repurposing them to make beautiful and useful new things!

Tours will also be available of the stunning Grade 1 listed medieval house set in 4 acres of peaceful, mature gardens and woodland which is the venue for residential retreats and courses. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available for purchase.

Free entrance, family friendly, and if you like the event, donations are welcome!

Find us on Facebook at The Abbey Sutton Courtenay and Shed Oxford. For more info please call 07772 655035 or write to info.shedoxford@gmail.com
