Nourishing Tales – storytelling picnic

Nourishing Tales

Nourishing Tales 2

Family picnic with storytelling in collaboration with Unlock the Chains Collective and Oxfordshire County Council Library Service

Come joins us for a dynamic African and Caribbean Storytelling session with tales to whet your appetite ranging from creation, to food, to looking after our world, to ‘common-sense’!

Experience some of the rituals in these stories such as call and response, create soundscapes to help the storytellers, be in the story, and share in this fun communal activity for the whole family whether you’re 5 or 85.

The day will be a family ‘bring-a-picnic’ event.  The Children’s section in the library, which backs onto this beautiful park, will be open and there will be readings of some of the artists favourite children’s storybooks such as  Trish Cooke’s So Much and Lenny Henry’s The Big Chill.
