Meet the Bees at Oxford City Farm

Bee

Come to Oxford City Farm and meet our bees!

On 6th May and 17th June (weather dependent) we will be holding two ‘Meet the Bees’ sessions at the Oxford City Farm.

During the session you will learn about the ecology of the honey bee and look inside our hives with qualified beekeeper Elly Patullo and Oxford City Farm Trustee Phil Pritchard.
We will provide bee suits for participants and serve refreshments during a question and answer session after the hive investigation.
The sessions will start at 11am and last for about 2 hours. We are asking for a donation of £10-£30 (depending on your income) to attend and all money raised will go to support our work at Oxford City Farm.
Sessions are open to adults and children. N.B. children must be accompanied by an adult and we do have two small suits suitable for primary school aged children.

To book your place please e-mail phil@oxfordcityfarm.org.uk

Please let me know if you would like to come, places are limited and on a first come first served basis.

Bees are amazing creatures, important for plant reproduction and a healthy ecosystem. Come and learn how to be a better friend to the bees!
