Launch of Blueprint for Liveable Streets in Oxfordshire

Oxfordshire Liveable Streets
The Feb 7 “Going Dutch!” event gave birth to Oxfordshire Liveable Streets. We’ve since been drawing up a Blueprint for active travel infrastructure in Oxfordshire to deliver Quiet Neighbourhoods and pleasant, liveable streetscapes. Now we need your help. At our next event we will be unveiling our Blueprint and bringing you a line-up of exciting speakers (including a live link to Amsterdam). This is where you come in. Between the talks we’ll be splitting into groups centred on areas of Oxford and Oxfordshire so you can share ideas for what you think should be done where you live. All that plus great beverages and an awesome food truck.

Talks by:
1.    Lorna King (Oxfordshire Liveable Streets) – introducing the blueprint
2.       Rachel Aldred (University of Westminster) – towards safer, more liveable and equitable towns and cities: the role of space for cycling
3.       Maartje van Putten (first president of Stop de Kindermoord) – live link from Amsterdam
