BBOWT Bird Identification for Beginners
Get started identifying common birds by sight, sound and habitat.
If you enjoy watching birds and would like to be able to recognise different species, this course is for you.
Together we will go through the basics of identification, including lots of hints and tips, and will practice using binoculars and field guides to build your confidence and your skills.
The morning will be classroom based and the afternoon will be spent in the grounds of Broughton Castle, looking out for birds.
Please bring binoculars and identification guides if you have them, and wear suitable clothes for the outdoor session.
Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
This course is part of BBOWT and Banbury Town Council’s Wild Banbury project, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.
