A beginner’s guide to understanding the link between climate change and flooding in Oxfordshire – an introduction to the dark art (and science) of climate attribution

Did you know that research based at the University of Oxford has calculated that human-induced climate change made the horrible floods of winter 2013/14, which caused havoc across Oxfordshire and elsewhere, more likely to happen?

Welcome to the dark art of climate attribution.

Want to understand how we can draw links like this, and begin to understand the real impacts of climate change in Oxford? Would you like to get involved in cutting-edge research through our citizen science weather@home project?

Join Dr Friederike Otto for a beginner’s introduction to the science and modelling which makes drawing such links possible.

An agile-ox event, in partnership with Oxford’s Climate Research Network, the ECI and Low Carbon West Oxford.
